Progress is what happens when we stopped making trouble for ourselves. Work, creativity, healing, and the endless journey into ourselves are all easy, unless somehow we fall into self-defeating patterns. The most satisfying kinds of progress are always the ones that we have chosen ourselves, expressing our creativity. The hands that work clay, or paper, or wood, or that drive a car, or that take care of a child while its growing, are hands that create progress. Yet, we only make things happen when we are focused on the work we do now instead of the progress we are making from the past. Real progress happens when we forget where we're going, and remember what we're doing now. Our progress is not so much about how successful we are as it is about how much attention we give our lives, while we're actually living them.
