Some may be surprised to learn that many Witches are closely aligned with Angelic forces. The books in this section focus on discovering, summoning, and communicating with these powerful beings, who have for centuries been seen as guardians, intermediaries, and ministering spirits. 

A particular form of Angelic practice, Enochian Magic dates back to the 16th century, and its founders are John Dee (the famed royal astrologer to Elizabeth I) and Edward Kelley. The original writings are said to be dictations taken directly from angelic beings: Kelley would scry into a stone to receive the communications, and Dee would write down everything he said. Other notables who contributed to the works are Aleister Crowley, Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers, and Israel Regardie. This became the basis for the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The books in this section illuminate this complex system of magic.
